RoMi Digital Marketing respects your privacy and your right to control your personal data.

This page explains how you can request deletion of personal data associated with RoMi Smart Marketing, including information received when you connect or authorise Facebook, Instagram or another supported third-party account.

RoMi Smart Marketing and Connected Accounts

RoMi Smart Marketing may allow authorised customers and users to connect third-party business, marketing or social media accounts.

These may include:

• Facebook
• Instagram
• Other Meta services
• Google services
• LinkedIn
• Other supported business, marketing or social media platforms

Connecting an account is voluntary.

Depending on the service and permissions you authorise, RoMi Smart Marketing may receive or process information necessary to provide the requested functionality.

This may include:

• Account or user identifiers
• Business-account identifiers
• Facebook Page identifiers and information
• Instagram professional-account identifiers and information
• Account or Page names
• Profile information made available through the authorised connection
• Authorisation and connection information
• Access tokens or similar authentication credentials
• Content you choose to create, schedule, publish or manage
• Publishing status and related operational information
• Permitted performance, engagement or insight information
• Technical information necessary to maintain, secure and troubleshoot the connection

RoMi Smart Marketing only requests access reasonably required to provide the functionality being used.

Facebook, Instagram and Meta

When you authorise RoMi Smart Marketing through Facebook or Instagram, authentication is handled through services provided by Meta.

RoMi Digital Marketing does not receive your Facebook or Instagram password through this authentication process.

Meta may provide RoMi Smart Marketing with authorised account information and an access token or similar credential that enables the requested connection.

The information available to RoMi depends upon the permissions you grant and the functionality authorised by Meta.

How to Disconnect RoMi Smart Marketing

You may revoke RoMi Smart Marketing’s access using the account or application settings provided by Meta or the relevant third-party service.

Revoking access prevents RoMi Smart Marketing from continuing to use that authorisation.

However, disconnecting or revoking an application does not necessarily delete information previously provided to RoMi.

If you would also like eligible information already held by RoMi to be deleted, please submit a User Data Deletion Request using the instructions below.

How to Request Deletion of Your Data

To request deletion of personal data associated with RoMi Smart Marketing or another connected RoMi service, email:

Use the email subject:

RoMi Smart Marketing – User Data Deletion Request

Please provide sufficient information for us to identify the relevant account or connection.

Where applicable, please include:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your business name
• The relevant website
• The Facebook Page concerned
• The Instagram professional account concerned
• Any other information reasonably necessary to identify the connection

Do not send passwords, access tokens or other account credentials by email.

For security and privacy reasons, we may ask you to verify your identity or confirm that you are authorised to make the request.

What We Will Delete

After verifying a valid request, RoMi Digital Marketing will delete or anonymise eligible personal data associated with the relevant service or connection where required and legally permitted.

Depending on the service, this may include:

• Connected-account identifiers
• Facebook Page identifiers
• Instagram professional-account identifiers
• Personal profile information obtained through the authorised connection
• Stored connection information
• Authentication or access-token information held by RoMi
• Information retained specifically to operate the relevant connection
• Other eligible personal information associated with the requested service

Where appropriate, connected authentication credentials may also be revoked or invalidated as part of closing the connection.

Information We May Need to Retain

The right to deletion is not absolute.

RoMi may need to retain limited information where necessary for legitimate and lawful purposes, including:

• Legal obligations
• Accounting or taxation requirements
• Contractual records
• Security records
• Fraud prevention
• Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims
• Regulatory requirements

Information retained for one of these purposes will not continue to be used for an unrelated purpose merely because a deletion request has been received.

How Long Will the Request Take?

We aim to respond to valid data-protection requests without undue delay and normally within one month.

If additional information is required to identify the relevant account, verify your authority or process the request, we will contact you using the information provided with your request.

Facebook and Instagram App Removal

If you remove RoMi Smart Marketing from your Facebook or Meta account, Meta may notify RoMi that the application’s authorisation has been removed.

Where applicable, RoMi will use that information to stop access associated with the revoked authorisation.

If you also want eligible information previously received and retained by RoMi to be deleted, you may submit a deletion request to ask@romimalta.com using the procedure above.

Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on applicable data protection law, you may also have rights to:

• Request access to personal data held about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request restriction of processing
• Object to certain processing
• Request deletion of eligible personal information
• Request portability of eligible information
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority
